Tree Planting Pledge
Trees are key pillars of the world for both humans and the environment. They benefit us by purifying water, air and creating better social conditions. They benefit the environment by providing homes for various forms of life, cooling our climate and improving our soil.
This is why we have pledged to plant a tree a month, at each facility, in honor and commitment to the mission of Tree Nation
What is your company doing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
- Switching from lead acid and gas/diesel equipment to lithium and hybrid.
- Reducing turf acres to reduce water consumption and use of turf maintenance vehicles.
- Reducing energy consumption by use of programable thermostats.
What is your company doing to reduce waste transferred to landfills?
We have partnered with CTS Greenwaste Recycling to have 100% of our green waste brought to their facilities instead of a landfill where they create a bio-rich soil amendment utilized for mulch, compost, soil stabilizer, and fill. This partnership has also allowed us to reduce the amount of times per week that Waste Management comes to our facility.
We have an aluminum recycling program that was started and is managed by our Outside Services team. All cans that are discarded are separated, collected, and brought to nearby recycling plants.
Water reduction in usage and waste
- We look to reduced non-integral areas of turf coverage and convert them into desertscape.
- Modernize irrigation systems with more water efficient components and reduce waste with maximizing coverage areas, improving run times and utilizing wetting agents to retain more saturation per square foot.
Audubon Pledge
Our company has made a pledge to complete the "Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program" for golf course operation at each of its facilities by the year 2025. We believe this initiative to be aligned with our beliefs and fully attainable for all properties.
